What To Expect

Kilim Karst Geoforest Park
Travel by boat through the twists and turns of the Kilim river through the maze created by aerial roots and thick fleshy leaves of the mangrove trees. We often see mangrove animals that make their home in this delicately balanced ecosystem which is responsible for the health and wide variety of species in the Andaman Sea. We also explore how the mangrove area is a perfect environment for cottage industries such as fish farms. Our first stop is The boatman will stop the engine and throw some chicken pieces out into the water to invite the eagles. And in no time you will see eagles diving down just next to you and clawing up the chicken pieces and eating them as they soar into the sky. As we venture out of the mangroves you will see majestic limestone rock formations and sea stacks that rise dramatically from the ocean. This ancient coral thrust into the sky millions of years ago is home to a unique and ancient group of plants found no where else on earth.

Highly recommended , we took a boat for the 4 of us , 3 hour tour , guided by Eddie. It was really good , the information provided was really enlightening. A quick visit to the bat caves , which is joined to the mangrove swamp walk , followed by a visit to the crocodile cave , and fish farm which was really really fun!!! Then a visit to the other side of the river where 2 species of eagles live( feeding of eagles not permitted as this is actually harmful to them) but we saw several eagles and took great pictures .

Finally a tour out to the andaman sea , with a very interesting story tying in all the rocks we seen along the way!

Really worth the visit and recommend this , whether you are a local or a visiting tourist from abroad !!
Outstanding

This is an outstanding tour which included the fish farm, bat caves, birds of prey and a fast bust ride along the mangroves and coast. A quick paddle on a lovely beach was then following a tasty lunch. Highly recommended!

Just amazing.

Wow,you can see the nature at it's best, lots of attractions are there like bat cave, crocodile cave and fish farming where one can see many varieties of fishes, crabs and other creatures. One can enjoy fresh sea food at the fish farm. Mangrove forest is amazing. Full of trees and listen the sounds of birds and other insects. Monkeys are also there, very naughty. Overall it's a good place to see for adults and as well as for kids.

The 2-hour mangrove tour was very educational. We were brought into a cave where we were told it is impassable during high tide and there is a dead end at the end of the cave during low tide. The eagle feeding session was very captivating as we saw the eagles swooped down and clawed the food which they then bend down to eat when they were airborne.
It was worth the trip
