Then back for lunch and when dark firefly cruise. Great experience saw them for 15/20 mins then huge downpour so great experience on the river and in the dark.

- super friendly tour guide Sam greeted us and explained the itinerary for the day
- van was clean
- snacks on arrival were nice
- Sam spotted Proboscis monkeys for us to see which was great
- he also spotted other monkeys, birds and lizards
- dinner was really nice
- firefly cruise exceeded expectations, there was so many and it looked amazing
- Sam had so much knowledge about the animals/wildlife/environment. He’s obviously very passionate about his job and it really made our day amazing. We were so impressed with all the facts he had to tell us.

The first part of the River Cruise is during daylight, where the captain and guide search for Proboscis Monkeys in the trees on the riverbank. We found them after around 20 mins, and watched these amazing creatures from afar (bring binoculars if you can). Cruising up and down the river, the scenery is great and there were plenty of monkeys for us to see. Heading back to the base camp was timed with sunset over the river, with great photo opportunities. Boat had around 10 people and was big enough for this to be comfortable.
When back at base camp, a simple dinner of Malay food is ready.. then the second river cruise begins. This time the target is fireflies, and there are loads! The trees look like Christmas trees and the starry sky is a perfect backdrop. Very difficult to take photos but something you won't forget :)
Nice evening transfer back to hotel, back by 9:30 thanks to our driver Sulani. This tour was a great experience for us :)
