Pulau Dayang Bunting you will be able to see the structure of the island which looks like a laying pregnant lady.An amazing thing about the lake is, although it lies very close to the sea and separated by only a thing strip of rocks, it is a fresh water lake. You need to climb along the steps on the hills around 10 minutes to reach at the lake..

Such a great island hopping tour! Loved all the beautiful islands! We saw massive quantities of sea eagles, the lake in the middle of an island and other beautiful stops. We brought our own snorkels and lunch for our last stop where we saw our first boars in Malaysia.

Scenic Fun Ride Island Hopping

20 September 2022. The trip started from Teluk Baru Jetty. On our boat were 13 people including the boat driver. All Malaysians except 2 Australian teachers from Melbourne.

Boat departed jetty enroute to Pulau Dayang Bunting (Pregnant Maid Island). From the jetty, it was a 10-minute walk to the lake for water-based sports activities and swimming. Entrance fee applied. We were there for 1 hour to kayak and swim.

From there, the boat was taken to Pulau Singa Besar (Big Lion Island) to watch eagle feeding. Boat driver tossed a bucket of chicken skins into the water and the eagles went on a feeding frenzy diving upon the chicken skins floating on the water.

The boat then proceeded to Pulau Beras Basah (Wet Rice Island) where we spent 1 hour swimming in the sea.

Then back to Jetty Teluk Baru.

This package is visit 2 islands and also went to watch the eagles feeding. The water quality of the beach there is not very clear, but the price is reasonable,very suitable with family to spend few hours there.

We were 2 couples and we mainly booked this tour because it was cheap and we did want to do island hopping. I will first say that the tour company must have got there shi* together cause they were organized with pick up and drop off. I recommend you book this tour if you never did island hopping before in Thailand, Philippines etc. Why, because you won't take the ride for granted. The ride to reach each island has its "wow factor." The eagle feeding was also an amazing sight to see. If you want to go for the beach you maybe disappointed because like the rest of Asia trash on the beach and or bushes are evident. We came during the coronavirus outbreak so we can't speak for the hoards of crowds, as we found it not to be busy and very laid back. All in all we all enjoyed the half day tour.
