Kilim Karst Geoforest Park
Travel by boat  through the twists and turns of the Kilim river through the maze created by aerial roots and thick fleshy leaves of the mangrove trees. We often see  mangrove animals that make their home in this delicately balanced ecosystem which is responsible for the health and wide variety of species in the Andaman Sea. We also explore how the mangrove area is a perfect environment for cottage industries such as fish farms.

Our first stop is The boatman will stop the engine and throw some chicken pieces out into the water to invite the eagles. And in no time you will see eagles diving down just next to you and clawing up the chicken pieces and eating them as they soar into the sky.

As we venture out of the mangroves you will see majestic limestone rock formations and sea stacks that rise dramatically from the ocean. This ancient coral thrust into the sky millions of years ago is home to a unique and ancient group of plants found no where else on earth.

Gua Kelawar (Bat Cave)

The mangrove trees and...

The mangrove trees and the caves are a must see in Langkawi in this relaxing boat ride which takes you out to the breathtaking Andaman Sea.
Exciting family adventure
AliAzzam, 04-09-2020
Been to Langkawi numerous times. This year no choice , no oversea travel, we choose Langkawi again. But this time around wit a new twist. We took a Mangrove Kilim boat ride. Do not know what to expect, I just pay online and off we go. Turn out it is our greatest adventure ,low risk and 'relaxing' as well. Relaxing in terms that most of the 2 hours journey will be on a boat ride. But there will be a bit of walking starting with bat cave walk and also a walk at the floating restaurant where the owner will show a few tricks how to now your fish, crabs etc. Eagle watching is where you will be able to watch eagles in action. And finally pictures opportunity at KILIM Andaman sea view. It is a lovely journey for my family. And thanks to our boat 'captain' Fakhrul for all the stories and a lovely ride on your boat
Amazing tour!

Kilim Geoforest park is a must-see for all visitors of Langkawi.
There are many cute monkeys everywhere, the mangrove trees are astonishing and you see so many things for a short period of time like the bat cave, the fish farm and a wonderful hidden beach.
The fish farm was surprisingly interesting - you will see some incredible kinds of fish!
Our guide was great - he spoke English well, he was very funny, friendly and informative. The boat was quite fast and in good condition.
The trip was well organised and I highly recommend it!
Great Day

Excellent tour including bat cave, mangroves, secluded beach, fish farm and sea eagles, also monkeys coming onto boat to drink water. Exciting fast longboat ride and great tour guide Cobra. Highly recommended. Pick up and drop off by minibus from your accommodation.
Amazing place but subpar booking facilitator
Elizabethlai, 29-12-2019
The booking facilitator is Asni Tours & Travels (iTours). The number provided on the booking receipt is not available at all. The tour itself was fine but we found ourselves lost and not sure what to do (e.g. finding our boat driver, finding our driver back to our hotel). There are other places (e.g. Casa Fina hotel) that offers the same tour at a much cheaper rate. The lunch at the floating fish farm was not included at all and you have to pay yourself (Please note that the price for the fish is RM/weight). Overall it is a must-visit attraction but please book via some other platform.
