It was a great option! Rajan was our driver and he was great, he took us to the waterfalls, indigenous village where we learnt how the live and hunt, after we headed to Cameron highlands but he was explaining the surrounding areas, he took us to the strawberry farm, and even when we arrived to KL on our way to the hotel he was explaining us the history! Great guide Rajan!

Shahrin was our guide and he was 5 stars. It was a Saturday and he knew traffic would get bad. He got us to the top of the mountain early without traffic and worked our way down. There was a backup of nearly 5 km going up as we were going down. Views were spectacular. Wonderful strawberries and tea. His English was good and easy to understand. He went out of is way to find us interesting fruit and vegetables to try. Excellent local lunch. Had a great 5 star day with Shahrin
Lots of unique sights

There was quite a bit of variety on this tour: the waterfall, village, tea plantation, strawberry farms, landscape, etc. (Most importantly, LUNCH!)

The drive was roughly 3-4 hours, and it starts fairly early (7 AM for us), so rest up the night before.

Our guide, Jeffry, was super patient and accommodating. We had a group of 7, so it took us a minute to get everything together. He was flexible with the schedule/stops though and paced everything pretty well. I believe it was his first time doing this; in spite of this, he was able to give good commentary on all the different stuff we were doing. It started *pouring* on our way back, but he was ready with umbrellas for all of us!

We got back at around 6 PM, so plan for this to make up the majority of your day.

Monica and I had a great day with Hery! He was so informative about Malaysia and made us laugh the whole day. He picked us up from our hotel and took us to the main sights in the Cameron highlands. We went to the waterfall, tea plantation, butterfly and insect place and picked strawberries. He found us a delicious stop for lunch and was so hospitable. I would highly recommend.
It’s a long day!

We had excellent pre-arrival communication and driver Herry was
at our hotel at 7am for pick up. He was pleasant, safe driver and very responsive to our needs.
Prepare for a long day. About 3 hours drive each way plus more if traffic is bad. First quick stop was the waterfall. Nice but not super impressive. Then our driver suggested we spend RM10 on snacks for the kids in a local indigenous village. This was a great stop and the kids were super appreciative.
Cameron valley tea stop was busy but worth it. Purchase a ticket for the transport down into the valley. Good photos and nice to sit and have a cup of tea there.
Next stop was lunch in the main town. Then we hit major traffic issues and were stuck so we abandoned going any further and headed back to KL. We stopped at a strawberry and bee farm on the way. It wasn’t great.
So the summary is that we spent a lot of time in the car ( about 7 hours) and the driver was great but there’s just not really enough to see and do on this tour to make it worth the very long drive.
