What To Expect

Dayang Bunting Island

Embark on an island hopping tour to explore well-known islands south of Langkawi. Take a trip by explorer boat from Pekan Rabu Jetty to your first stop, the Pulau Dayang Bunting or Dayang Bunting Island, where you can trek a short distance to reach the legendary Tasik Dayang Bunting (Lake of the Pregnant Maiden). Spend an hour here observing the calm lake that is fringed by a verdant forest and mountains. Dip in the mystical lake that is said to be infused with powers by a celestial princess.

We continue on to Pulau Singa Besar (Island of Big Lions). Here we will witness majestic wild eagles soar at close range. There is no need to disembark as the boat will drift in the waters.

Beras Basah Island

The tour reaches its zenith with a stop at the pristine beach of Pulau Beras Basah. Soak up the sun and appreciate the briny tang of the sea as you will not get this anywhere in the city. Go for another swim if you like before heading back to the hotel or opt to further explore the island of Langkawi.

Our tour guide Azri was so lovely! We booked for a private mangrove tour through our hotel St Regis Langkawi & this 2.5h private tour was so pleasant and enjoyable. Unlike the other tour guides, Azri really takes his time to share his knowledge & experiences with us, he even has the cutest tour guide outfit on! It was so invigorating to be so close to nature, so much zen. We could feel our tour guide’s (& even our boat man)passion, warmth & friendliness. An Epic Tour

This was a fantastic experience and should be on everyone “to do list” when visiting Langkawi.
This trip was made even more special and interesting with our guide Francis. His passion and wealth of knowledge of mangroves and the whole geological area was engaging and gripping. He even had our 10 and 14 year old girls (who are of the social media generation) fascinated and engrossed throughout the whole tour.
The scenery you will see is epic. The only other place have seen backdrops like this is on my Windows Desktop screen! The mountains, jungle, sea and mangrove are just imposing and majestic.
For those researching for actives and trip to do, please add this to your list through Junglewala.
Tips! Take water with you. A towel as you might get the odd splash of water and for definite, clear out your memory on your smart phone, because for sure you will all be taking pictures like a wannabe paparazzi!
